Reggie is a very sweet, shy Shepherd/Husky who would love to be adopted soon; Reggie did really well in his foster home (housebroken, good in the house, some kennel training) but isn’t too fond of shelter life- too busy, chaotic & stressful for such a shy guy. Pogo is a lovely cat who wasn’t adapting well to shelter life- too busy and stressful for him! Pogo is currently in a foster home, and we hope he can be adopted right from his foster home rather than coming back to the shelter. Pogo likes other cats, is very playful & frisky so is best suited to teens/adults who can keep up with him. He has quite the purrsonality! This strapping young lad is Boss, a blue-eyed Husky mix found near Sperling, MB. in July. We didn’t have any success in finding his owner, so he is available for adoption. Hank, 144115

Hank is a one and half year old spunky Whippet Basenji cross. Hank is very energetic guy that loves to play with his toys! He is also a very smart dog, he already knows sit, shake a paw, and down. Hank loves attention; he will jump right into your lap! He would do best in a home without cats as he can quite rambunctious with them. Hank can be a bit timid at first, but will warm up once he gets to know you. He would do best in a home with children 12+. Bambi is a very sweet and special ~ 1year old Doberman mix who requires a patient, loving and responsible owner. Bambi came to us in May and we’ve been working with her to gain her trust and increase her confidence- she is finally ready for adoption! Bambi requires an understanding owner who can allow her to get comfortable at her own pace. Bambi will do best without young/rambunctious kids in a stable environment. Nemo is a really sweet boy who is on a special diet to keep him healthy- diet is not a big concern & at only ~1.5 years old, he’s expected to adapt very well in his home. About FIPPER (from the D’Arcy A.R.C. site)

Fipper is a five year old Shepherd-cross who was left outside unattended for three days after receiving chemical burns to nearly eighty percent of her face. She was turned over to Machray Animal Hospital in the third week of August. Fipper was twenty five pounds underweight with her burns infected and covered in bugs and filth.

We owe a debt of many thanks to those who have supported Fipper’s rehabilitation with donations.

We have been overwhelmed with calls from concerned members of the community which we are also thankful for. Here is an update on Fipper:

- she is doing fantastic
- she receives daily dressings
- her face is washed every day with a medicated soap and cream
- she eats 5 times a day, 5 to 6 cans of wet food
- she is gaining weight
- she has very limited exposure to people at this time

Thank you all for your care and concern. This incident is under careful investigation by the proper authorities.

Rocky is a very handsome 3 year old Shepherd Husky mix. Rocky is extremely friendly and loves to be with people; he is just not crazy about being in his kennel. He has already learned many commands, such as sit, out and shake a paw!! Rocky is quite energetic, and will require regular, daily exercise to keep him happy. Rocky would do best in home with no cats, he loves to chase them! Also, he should go to a home with children 15+. Rockie is waiting for you to come down, take him for a walk and get to know him! Kinoi is a beautiful 3 year old domestic short haired cat. She came to us after her owners were moving, and could not take her with them. This fancy feline is looking for a home without other cats, she wants to be the queen of the castle! Kinoi has been with us way to long!! It’s time we gave her the loving home she deserves! Flyntt is a handsome 6 year old Labrador Retriever cross. He came into us as a stray is looking for some new digs! He is an extremely energetic guy, and needs more exercise than we can give him here.
