This is my new little sweet rescue pup, Bella. Bella and her siblings were brought into a high kill shelter in San Diego County and because their mother passed along demodex manage (a non-contagious and very treatable condition), they were put on death row and slated to be destroyed.

In 1997, my future husband Hartley (HART) and I moved into a townhouse condo together. That next year, during tax time, Hartley would spend many hours at the office away from our new home, preparing tax returns. I found myself alone and in need of some company. Since our condo has a small back yard, I felt now was as good a time as any to get a dog. I had never had a dog and I was very eager to adopt a new member into our little family. Since it would be my first time as a dog owner, I wanted to start with a small breed.

I receive many emails every day requesting reciprocal linking .. but when I received an email request from Ladyhawke Catherine … I thought I could do little more. There are many volunteers trying hard to get the word out about the situation in Peru for the animals affected by the recent earthquake last month .. to get more aide and support to the agencies working there. Please watch the video below and check out the links at the end of this post.

Countless animals have been affected by this disaster and foreign aid has been slow to arrive. I have installed a multi-user wordpress version at the following location, and invite anybody who wishes to create a FREE pet related blog. I have replaced one of the old links on the top button menu and added a new [MyPet] button to access. There is also a link below the heading as well. Feel free to create your own blog!

At this point in time, I have limited disk space to 20MB per account, which should be enough to load as many smaller net-sized photos of your pet. If you really need more space, I have a dedicated server and tons of domains and should be able to accomodate you somehow, if you need it - just ask.

.. And speaking of Dog Fashion Shows …

Brenda Puttaert the designer and owner of “Doggie Duds” along with “Pawsh Pet Boutique” will be hosting a fashion show at this event. Doggie Duds will be featuring designs from its new fall and winter line. Pawsh Pet Boutique will feature collars, leashes, accessesories and more. This should be a fun event, and admission to Wiener Palooza is only $1.00.

Maxxie and Sophie are PAPILLON dogs so, .. I’m afraid they won’t be modelling down the dogwalk at this event .. but it should be lot of fun! If you have a Dachshund, live in Winnipeg .. well .. you SHOULD be there! At the Wildwood Community Club, 271 North Drive, Winnipeg that is.

It was a Fundraiser Event!

On August 28, 2007 … my wife and I, along with Maxxie and Sophie attended a dog fashion show presented by D’arcy’s A.R.C. (Animal Rescue Center) and Pawsh Pet Boutique .. both of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
