Different dog, different bark

Isn’t interesting how different dogs of the same breed have different barks? I suppose it’s like human voices. Our female blue pitbull, for example, has a great bark. She sounds like such a big dog and has since she was about 6 months old. Our male, however, has this higher pitched wimpier bark. He just doesn’t sound like a big dog. Our “puppy”, Elekoni, takes after his mom. He’s got a nice deep, loud bark. It’s tough for me to tell his bark apart from his mom’s, but my husband can tell.

On another note, I probably won’t be around until after the New Year, so before it’s too late, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Have fun, but be safe.

Meet Polu ~ Blue Pitbull

Polu Boy White and Blue Pitbull Picture
I said you’d meet my other pitbulls ~ so here’s Koni’s sire (see my other post to meet Koni). This is Polu Boy. Everyone says he looks mean, but every time we look at him, we see a big lug. His eyes always look sappy if you ask me. Polu Boy loves to play fetch with tennis balls! I’ve learned that not all dogs play fetch well. Many will go and run after the ball, but not bring it back. Polu has understood the object of the game since he was a puppy. After a while though, he does slow down. Then when he’s really tired, he’ll leave the ball and just trot back all alone. LOL ~ that’s when we know he’s done playing. Polu Boy is very mellow and you’ll see him lay down on his back once he sees the kids. He loves to have them rub his tummy!

Meet “Koni” - Blue Pitbull

Koni
Meet “Koni” ~ our blue pitbull puppy. Okay, so he’s not a puppy anymore. He made 1 year a few months back. His registered name is actually Mahoe’s Elekoni but we call him “Koni” for short. He’s a great pet and is so easy to walk around the neighborhood. He’s never been one to pull while walking or bark at other dogs in the area. Koni is definitely the most mellow of our 3 blue pitbulls. You’ll meet the other two later!

Have a great Christmas!
