You know it really bugs me when people say things like, “All pitbulls are bad around kids” or “No pitbulls should ever be around children.”

The majority of my pitbull experiences have been with them around kids. I’m working on putting together some of the pictures that I have of my kids with pits, but for now, here’s one of some “action” captured the other day.

It’s a “vicious” pitbull with a 6 month old baby. Actually, the pitbull was born just a month before the baby that is in the video with him. You tell me who’s doing the “attacking” in this video.

Pitbulls at a photo shoot are such a cool thing. We recently had the opportunity to take part in a photo shoot for the up and coming Get ‘Em Boy Ltd Apparel clothing line. It was a lot of fun! Seeing all those beautiful pits in one place was so awesome. Here’s a shot they got of one of our dogs, Mahoes’ Mana Loa.

We’ve got a Moose in our yard! Only he’s not really a moose, he’s an american pitbull terrier. He’s the newest puppy in our family. Here he is at 11 weeks.

This past Sunday, on April 29th, we had our first ever Pitbull Bash on O’ahu. There were a number of kennels there with their dogs. It was great to see so many quality dogs in one place and everything went smoothly at the event. All of the dogs were behaved and it was just great to see so many walking around and interacting with people.

The bash also featured live entertainment and a dog pulling exhibition.

Have you seen the show Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic channel. It’s such a great show! Now the complete season one is available. Also, Cesar’s book entitled “Cesar’s Way” is available for purchase. If you have a dog with behavioral problems and you’ve never seen The Dog Whisperer, you’ve gotta check it out. It’s amazing!

My husband came across this website and just loved it. It has a number of pitbull videos that show exactly how our experience has been with this breed. Pitbulls are not all bad. Any type of dog can be dangerous and pitbulls can be great dogs and/or pets. Anyway - if you love pitbulls - you’ve gotta see these videos. If you’ve never seen any side of pitbulls but the negative, you also should see these videos.

Here’s Angel, our female blue pitbull. She is the first pitbull I’ve ever owned though my husband had been involved with pitbulls since he was a child. My husband really, really wanted a blue pitbull puppy, and he fell in love with Angel the minute he first saw her.

It was our oldest daughter’s idea to name our cute little puppy Angel. At the time our daughter was 7 years old and had no idea that our “Angel” would grow so big and have a strong, “big dog” bark. After running www.808BluePitbull.com for the past 4 months, I’ve come to realize that there are people out there who love pitbulls. There has to be. The number of unique visitors to www.808BluePitbull.com has just continued to climb and climb since the website was created. I think it has to do with the pictures. People like books and magazines with cool pictures, the same is probably true for websites. The month of January was just unbelievable with over 4800 unique visitors coming through to www.808BluePitbull.com ~ that’s just about triple the previous high set just one month before! I’m glad there are others out there who see the beauty in these dogs. Not all are terrible. One of the main reasons I post here, and one of the main reasons we created www.808BluePitbull.com is to share the positive experience we, and others have had with the breed.
