Bloggers Unite - Blogging For Hope

Today is September 27th, 2007 and I am joining thousands of bloggers around the world in BlogCatalog’s monthly Blogging for a Great Cause Challenge. This month, is “Bloggers Against Abuse“. The challenge is to increase public awareness about an important subject topic (abuse) and to encourage other bloggers to join in and bring awareness about an important cause, all on the same day.

At the end of the day I will summarize ALL of the posts made on this day in this blog, plus I will links out to the many other bloggers around the world also blogging for the same cause .. to stop animal cruelty and pet abuse.

Calling All Earthlings, Who Love Animals

* Firstly, I should point out that I will be donating all proceeds earned with the HART-Empire Network today, including commissions from any Amazon purchases generated from the link in the sidebar - in fact I will double that amount! I have created some recommended readings in my little Amazon Astore (click the link in the sidebar) but you can buy anything .. CD’s, your Christmas Shopping List … EVERYTHING COUNTS!

* Consider donating to your local Humane Society, or any other pet rescue center in your local area, a monetary gift. This can be a one-time donation or a recurring gift. Every little bit helps the organization and volunteers to do their job - helping animals.

* Donate your time. Walk on over to your nearest pet rescue shelter and ask if THEY need help! There are lots of things one can do. You can walk dogs, help brush dogs, bring canned food or blankets .. just ask. I knoe there are a lot of good people that want to help animals that have been neglected or abused, but just can’t afford to do so - or, it is not practical to take every dog or cat home with you. Your time counts. You can make a difference.
