Nintendogs Selling Outta Control – Who knew so many were too lazy to raise real pets?

Riding off the hype from Japan, Nintendogs is already becoming a repeat success in the US, too. It’s only been available for a week, but Nintendo’s reporting sales upwards of 250,000 units already – that’s nearly 15% of total Nintendo DS owners! Holy crap!
Thankfully, the other major release for the system, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, doesn’t seem to be completely lost in the shuffle; Nintendo says the game has quickly become one of the company’s top sellers. They haven’t released any sales data as of yet, however.
Right now, Nintendogs is even reportedly maintaining a solid position in the top three spots on Amazon.com’s purchase list, and if this rides out like Nintendo’s other phenomenon ideas, we’re not even close to seeing this peak yet.
